I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a company specializing in food production and packaging located in Laval, Quebec, for the position of Maintenance Manager - 40 hours per week.
Reporting to the Operations Director, your responsibilities will include:
* Planning, organizing, and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
* Optimizing the performance of production and packaging equipment.
* Analyzing maintenance needs and recommending improvements.
* Managing a team of technicians and supporting their professional development.
* Overseeing the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Managing the maintenance department's budget and negotiating with suppliers.
* Actively participating in continuous improvement projects.
* Updating technical documentation and maintenance reports.
The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons:
Communication with international customers: As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate regularly with them in English, both orally and in writing.
Working with English-speaking partners: You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
Drafting documents in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.

Your Background
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the food or manufacturing industry. An experience in a regulated industry is mandatory
* Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in team management and proficiency in maintenance management tools (CMMS).
* Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.

* Salary: Between 95k$ and 105k$
