The Maintenance Mechanic will p erform a variety of general, mechanical, and preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and facilities.

Primary Duties:

• Carries out construction and renovation assignments in accordance with work order and specification.

• Coordinates preventive maintenance with emergency and repair work activities.

• Performs general maintenance and repair of heating, ventilating, refrigeration, cooling, and air-conditioning systems and equipment of the hospital.

• Performs repairs on mechanical and electrical systems as directed and i nspects assigned areas and responds to logbook requests . Repairs building systems including roofs, walls, fixtures, and trim.

• Monitors conditions to ensure compliance with all safety codes and manufacturers specifications.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED .

• 2 years related maintenance experience .

• Verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic computer skills preferred.
