Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing commodity sourcing strategies.
These responsibilities include: quotations, bid analysis, supplier recommendations, awards, execution of new or extension of existing supplier contracts, supplier development, risk mitigation, and cost reduction in support of the Power and Controls Engineered Items Commodity.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the development and execution of commodity and supplier development strategies for direct product that supports the strategic objectives of the Business Unit and Company.
* Conduct RFQs and perform bid analysis.
* Lead contract negotiations.
* Work with Operational Procurement, Engineering and Program Management
* Support buy to buy projects and other work transfer initiatives.
* Support the development of broad based commodity or supplier strategies.
* Forecast headwinds and spend for assigned suppliers
* Drive special projects with suppliers and cross-functional teams across the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
* Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR
* In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
* US Citizen and US Person candidates permitted
Preferred Qualifications:
* Electronics or Engineered Items Commodity Experience
* Project Management Experience
* SAP
* Tableau
