The primary purpose of this position is to develop, interpret, standardize, and implement policies procedures related to requirement analysis and requirement computations. As HNC's central point of contact between HQ AFMC, Air Staff, and other DoD activities. Responsibilities Develops, interprets, implements, and/or distributes policies, methods, plans, and/or procedures for Inventory Management of assigned programs, projects or items. Responsible for the development of queries, complete analysis of all subsequent products, and initiation and/or recommendation of sound solution to identified problems as they pertain to selected Air Force automated standard systems. Review, analyzes, and interprets directives related to logistics operations and determines application. Performs all types of special staff studies pertaining to the logistics arena. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Recommending logistics requirements and other policies/procedures and exercising staff surveillance over requirements computational methods and procedures used by the Item Management discipline in the management of items of supply; Applying a wide range of established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in gathering analyzing data, reviewing proposals, and evaluating studies pertaining to logistics effectiveness; Analyzing recurring problematic situations causing programmatic delays; Providing solutions to recommends corrective action as necessary. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of applicable customer service standards; knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods of assigned specializations and functions. 2. Knowledge of structure, contents, codes, internal and external interfaces, update procedures and uses of automated supply systems and databases; knowledge of sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance or advice to resolve supply problems. 3. Knowledge of policies, methods, and procedures for type classification of material/approval for service use; knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing equipment and supplies. 4. Ability to analyze problems and to develop timely and economical solutions; to plan and organize work; to maintain good working relations; to originate new ideas, projects, studies, and methodologies. 5. Ability to review, analyzes, and evaluates supply management programs; to communicate in writing and orally; ability to interpret specialized documentation and descriptions pertaining to equipment. 6. Ability to stratify resources against approved programs; to plan, present, and execute budgets; to analyze budget impacts on programs; and to forecast long-term funding requirements. Ability to develop, prepare, coordinate, staff, and implement supply management policies, procedures, programs and directives. Ability to use office automation tools and techniques to design and generate reports, briefing materials, and/or comparable documents. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
