Description
Truck Driver / Shipping Clerk
Production Castings is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Truck Driver / Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving activities, preparing shipments, and delivering and moving products in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a valid Class E drivers license, and experience in both warehouse operations and truck driving.
Key Job Duties:
Truck Driver Duties:
- Safely operate company trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Verify load accuracy, secure cargo, and ensure compliance with weight regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
Shipping Clerk Duties:
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including preparing shipments and receiving incoming products.
- Verify and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Ensure that all shipments are properly labeled and packaged for safe transport.
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class E drivers license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class E Drivers License with insurability to drive Box Trucks.
Proven experience as a shipping clerk, truck driver, or similar role.
Knowledge of shipping procedures, transportation regulations, and inventory management.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Salary Description
