Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Duties: Provide mostly outpatient cardiology care, including consultations, follow-ups, and procedures.
• Occasional Inpatient Consults: Will occasionally be required to provide inpatient cardiology consultations.
• TEE Procedures: Must be able to perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) as requested.
• Patient Load: Manage 10-13 clinic patients per day, a mix of new patients and follow-ups.
• Inpatient Consults: Average of 0-1 inpatient consults per day.
• Support Staff: Supervised by 1 APP, with 8 other cardiologists in the group.
• Patient Demographics: Adult and geriatric populations.

Required Qualifications:

• Licensure: Active Massachusetts Medical License
• Board Certification: Board Certified in Cardiology (required).
• Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required (AHA or American Red Cross).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Experience: Ability to perform TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) and handle occasional inpatient consults.
• COVID Vaccination: Required (facility policy).

Work Schedule & Coverage:

• Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Coverage Requirement: 2 weeks per month of coverage required.
• Call/Weekend: No call or weekend requirements.

Facility Details:

• Cardiology Group: 8 cardiologists in the group, with additional support from 1 APP.
• Procedures Performed:
• Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Electrical Cardioversions
• Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Patient Load: 10-13 patients per day, a mix of new consultations and follow-up visits.
• Inpatient Consults: Rare, but occasional inpatient consults required (0-1 consults per day).
• Documentation: Meditech Expanse EMR system.
