Based in the Houston area, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced AP Specialist/Administrator to join our team in the Energy industry. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in the oil and gas or petrochemicals sectors to help our clients navigate their financial challenges and achieve their business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounts payable processes and a strong background in consulting within the energy industry. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of processing invoices using RightAngle and SAP and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert consulting services to clients in the energy industry, specifically within the oil and gas or petrochemical sectors.
2. Manage full cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
3. Analyze and resolve complex accounts payable issues in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Develop and implement efficient AP workflows and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
5. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless financial operations.
6. Provide training and guidance to clients on accounts payable best practices.
7. Prepare and present detailed reports on AP activities and performance to clients and management.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in technology to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in the energy industry, specifically within the oil and gas or petrochemical sectors.
2. Proven experience in accounts payable and financial consulting.
3. Strong knowledge of AP processes and systems, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
4. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex AP issues.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-finance professionals.
6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounts payable software.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
