Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Regional Business Services Manager, the Warehouse Coordinator oversees regional warehouse which includes shipping and receiving functions, scheduling pick-up and delivery of office furniture, equipment, and supplies. Maintains warehouse stock items and handles/coordinates the resolution of warehouse facility issues. Helps conduct office moves. May assist with surplus property management/disposal and with fleet management. May plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for use of initiative and independent judgment. May serve as a member of the Regional Disaster Deployment Team in delivering, setting up and monitoring emergency equipment to areas designated by supervisor. Able to work in various environments outside and inside.
Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Plans and schedules all distribution services including receiving, storing, and shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, inter and intra office relocation of staff and equipment; and other administrative activities to ensure that customer requirements are met in an efficient manner. (25%)
Manages the functions as lead for all activities at the regional warehouse to achieve prescribed objectives. (20%)
Reviews the warehouse daily to ensure that the area is maintained in a neat, secure, and well organized manner to prevent damage to product, equipment and facility. (20%)
Develops, implements and monitors programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property. Provides safety instructions to staff and ensures that all safety policies and procedures are followed. (10%)
Ensures current and accurate inventory control of all items in the regional warehouse. May assist with the annual physical inventory and ensures that discrepancies are appropriately resolved or handled. Develops, implements and monitors Warehouse security plan to ensure the security of items stored in the warehouse. (10%)
May be responsible for entry and reviewing fleet report system as well as monitoring and maintaining state vehicles to ensure that they meet the proper standards for operation both mechanically and cosmetically. (10%)
Ensures the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding warehouse operations. (5%)
Knowledge Skills Abilities:

Knowledge of agency policies and procedures and ability to interpret them.
Skill in the use of standard agency computer hardware and software such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to operate motor vehicles including cargo panel truck and van and pull a trailer in accordance with local, State and Federal traffic regulations.

Ability to operate warehousing equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, dolly, etc.
Ability to travel locally and across the state which may include overnight stays.
Registration or Licensure Requirements:
Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
Initial Selection Criteria:
High School diploma or GED is required. Experience in shipping, receiving, sorting and distributing furniture, supplies or equipment. Experience in operating warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, dolly, etc. Ability to communicate effectively in writing as demonstrated in the application. Preferred experience driving panel truck and/or cargo van. Preferred experience pulling a trailer.

Please note that while the posted salary range for this position is $3,331.33 to $4,224.00, only former and current Health and Human Services Commission employees will be offered a salary above $3,331.33. Current employees promoting into this position will be offered a salary that meets Human Resources salary guidelines for promoting employees. Former employees may be offered a salary above $3,331.33 if they have recent, comparable experience. Recent experience includes experience within one year prior to the application closing date.
