Qualifications GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Act as principal contact between the Parts Department and the Collision department for the purchase and sale of parts.
- Primary goals are to provide customer satisfaction and maximize dealership parts sales and gross profit.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide fast and courteous service to Estimators and Technicians.
- List and price out parts on repair orders and/or counter tickets.
- Make prompt returns of parts ordered, parts delivered and parts not used by the collision center. Include credit invoices in daily billing
- Promptly notify the body shop manager and estimators of part delays, arrivals and part price changes
- Write purchase orders for parts from outside suppliers, as required, and obtain management approval.
- Properly input lost sales into the inventory control system.
- Provide the necessary information for special and emergency orders if a part is not in stock.
- Maintain records of all special order parts and notify the person responsible for the order.
- Maintain the warranty return parts inventory in a clean and organized manner
- Help to "scrap" parts held for factory claims with the factory representative and core vendors
- Participate in conducting a perpetual inventory.
- Keep your work area clean, free of debris and safe.
- Perform other duties and tasks as directed by management.
- 10 - 5 - First - Last "my pleasure" customer contact process.
