Sr. Consultant, Data Mesh Enablement
Apex Systems, a global IT services provider, is seeking a Sr. Consultant with extensive expertise in analytics tools & Data Mesh experience to place at a leading Top Five Bank.
Client: Big 5 Bank
Location: Hybrid; 1-2 days a week in Toronto
Terms: 12 Month Contract, strong possibility of extension
Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM
About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Consultant to oversee the design, development, and operation of critical platforms within the organization. As a key member of our technology leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our platforms are aligned with business objectives, scalable, reliable, and secure.
Responsibilities:
Platform Ownership: Take full ownership of key platforms, ensuring their ongoing health, performance, and alignment with business needs.
Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their strategic goals and translate them into technical requirements for platform development.
Technology Roadmap: Develop and maintain a platform roadmap that outlines the future direction and evolution of the platform.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring that they deliver on their commitments and meet our platform needs.
Change Management: Oversee platform changes and upgrades, ensuring that they are implemented smoothly and with minimal disruption to business operations.
Performance Optimization: Monitor platform performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with platform operations, ensuring that the platform is resilient and secure.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and Databricks.
Data Engineering: Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies, such as data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, and their data management services.
Distributed Systems: Understanding of distributed systems architecture and concepts.
Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
Data Quality: Experience in ensuring data quality and consistency across the organization.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
