The ideal candidate will work in various settings, including clinics and hospitals, providing therapeutic services to patients with diverse needs. This role focuses on helping individuals improve their ability to perform daily activities, enhance their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients of all ages, including those with autism and disabilities, and will be involved in discharge planning for patients transitioning from inpatient care.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide support in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition from hospital or inpatient settings to home or outpatient care.
- Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy relevant to occupational therapy practices.
- Experience working in clinic settings as well as inpatient environments such as ICU or hospitals.
- Familiarity with therapeutic techniques for pediatrics and individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and families.
