Job Summary:Inspects plastic parts, and components for defects by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities•Examines products for physical defects such as broken or missing areas, blemishes, scratches, cracks, and chips.•Rejects faulty parts, or components, records type and quantity of defects, and informs lead of quality issue.•Measures parts to verify accuracy of dimensions.•Sorts defective components and parts for salvage or scrap.•Maintains a clean and orderly work area.•Performs other duties as directed by shift lead in support of the molding floor.RequirementsEducation: Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Other Skills•Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions ; uses equipment and materials properly.•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
