Moore & Van Allen has an immediate need on its Intellectual Property team for a part-time Docketing Specialist. Responsibilities include opening and distributing incoming correspondences, keeping electronic files up-to-date, docketing USPTO and foreign patent and trademark deadlines, interacting with others in the docketing department, paralegals, and attorneys on docketing matters and procedures.Prior docketing and patent/trademark experience is a plus, but not required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a law firm setting required; Intellectual property experience preferred
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Organized with excellent time management skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Eager to learn - ambitious - passionate
- Regular and in-person attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this interactive position.
Physical Requirements: - The work is primarily sedentary.
- It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.
