Packaging Technician II - Wilmington, North Carolina DISHER is currently partnering with one of the largest functional beverage manufacturers in America, offering a diverse portfolio of organic, private label, functional beverages for top global retailers. They are currently searching for experienced Packaging Technicians to add to their team in Wilmington, North Carolina. There is availability for first shift and second shift positions.

What you'll get to do: - Adhere to company safety policies, conduct safety inspections, and report hazards immediately; participate in safety training and promote safety awareness.
- Follow proper documentation practices and complete all paperwork related to processes performed.
- Operate and maintain packaging equipment (e.g., depalletizers, fillers, case packers) and assist in setup, breakdown, and cleaning of packaging lines.
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of equipment, floors, surfaces, and drains, and operate cleaning and sanitizing equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, CIP system).
- Ensure products meet quality standards by monitoring filling operations, adjusting equipment, and conducting inspections for defects, hazards, and deviations.
- Complete routine maintenance, minor repairs, and assist with major repairs during downtime, while documenting all machine adjustments.
- Support food safety and quality by following GMP, SQF policies, and reporting food safety concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the team, including stepping in as lead when necessary, and communicate effectively with maintenance for additional expertise.
What will make you successful: - Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred
- At least one year of mechanical background/packaging line experience required
- Ability to backfill the line lead as needed
- Basic computer skills required
- Keen attention to detail
- Heightened awareness of safety precautions and hazards for self and others
- Ability to positively work with a team to achieve production goals
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Extended shifts, overtime, and weekends may be needed based on business needs
- Flexibility in work hours is necessary to meet operational demands
- High School diploma or GED required
