Classification Description Summary
The Human Resources Department is seeking a temporary employee for the position of Human Resources Assistant. The ideal candidate will support the Human Resources Department with office and clerical duties and activities for a very busy office. The qualified candidate must be proficient in general office procedures and provides excellent customer service to our visitors.
Essential Functions
The individual selected will be responsible for:
+ Assisting with Front Counter coverage when necessary.
+ Enter data into a computer from various sources including accounting, statistical, and related documents.
+ Assisting with processing department mail, copying and filing.
+ Assisting with processing of telephone, faxed and mail-in employment verifications.
+ Performs a variety of routine clerical duties including assisting with financial recordkeeping.
+ Receives and directs telephone calls and visitors as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of and Ability to:
Basic computer applications such as word processing spreadsheets, and databases.
Compile data and participate in the preparation of clear and concise reports/documents.
Plan and organize work to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality regarding critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a general office support and clerical setting. Must be proficient is MS Word and Excel. Applicants must have the equivalent to a high school diploma and be at least 18 years of age.
Supplemental Information
THIS POSITION IS LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 6 MONTHS EMPLOYMENT (temporary position without benefits).
A Background check is required. The pay starts at $12.50 per hour. There are no benefits provided with this position.
