Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist – 13 Week Contract Company: Big Stone Staffing Big Stone Staffing travelers have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including long term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, inpatient, outpatient, and home health. We offer 13-week travel contracts and provide assistance to find housing, navigating licensure for each state, and being the liaison between you and the facility. Overview: Setting: School, LTC/SNF, OP, IP, and HH Total Pay Package: Starting at$1800 per week Schedule: Flexible schedule available– No weekends, holidays or call Length: 13 weeks- Extension bonus offered Current Contracts Available: Wheaton Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose and treat communication disorders such as speech, fluency, language, voice and swallowing disorders. Develop, plan and implement a treatment plan that will remedy the issue the patient is presenting with. Create personalized care plans for each patient, often working with other medical staff on an interdisciplinary team. Educate and counsel patients and families on communication and swallowing disorders. Research speech and communication disorders and develop new diagnostic procedures and devices. Instruct and supervise communicative disorders assistants, students and other health care professionals. Qualifications: Doctorate or master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Valid driver’s license Must be able to pass a background check and pre-work screen physical examination Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
