CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support our USAID Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) client. The HR Assistant will be based in Washington, DC, and provide comprehensive support to OTI program-funded staff. This position involves managing HR operations, assisting with onboarding, coordinating meetings, tracking HR activities, and maintaining accurate knowledge management systems. The HR Assistant will also support a range of administrative processes to improve operational efficiency.nnThe ideal candidate must be highly organized, flexible, and solutions-oriented, with strong communication and multitasking abilities. This position also requires the utmost discretion to safeguard sensitive personnel information.nnThis job posting will close at 5:00pm EST on Friday, November 29th, 2024.nnKey Responsibilities:nnHuman Resources OperationsnnAssist with developing and implementing HR processes, including performance management, onboarding, benefits coordination, staff transitions, and separations.nnSupport personnel actions by tracking requests, managing benefits information, and preparing related documentation.nnMaintain up-to-date organizational charts, personnel files, and HR-related trackers.nnResearch and interpret federal HR policies (e.g., ADS, FAR, AIDAR, OPM) to provide client-focused responses.nnKnowledge ManagementnnDevelop and maintain electronic tracking systems for HR activities and administrative documentation.nnUpdate and manage knowledge management resources, including OTI’s internal platforms, job aids, templates, and handbooks.nnTrack lessons learned and best practices to ensure continuous operational improvement.nnAdministrative SupportnnCoordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and draft meeting minutes.nnDistribute meeting materials and ensure follow-up on action items.nnDraft, format, and track correspondence, including memos, reports, and presentations.nnOperational SupportnnMentor and train new team members on administrative processes.nnEvaluate operational procedures and recommend improvements for efficiency.nnProvide backup support to other administrative staff, as needed.nnMeeting and Event CoordinationnnSchedule and organize meetings, conferences, and events across multiple teams.nnEnsure meetings have the necessary technology and troubleshoot any issues.nnPrepare and distribute meeting materials and capture action items.nnTravel and LogisticsnnCoordinate travel arrangements for staff, including transportation, lodging, and visa requirements.nnSupport logistics for visitors and official travel, ensuring compliance with applicable policies.nnExpected salary range: $70,000-87,000nnWork Environment:nnModerate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).nnAbility to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.nnPhysical Demands:nnWhile performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.nnEmployee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.nnReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.nnTravel:nn0-10% / Minimal travel.nnCeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is a tribally-owned firm providing management consulting services to U.S. government agencies.nnPursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, preference will be given to qualified Native Americans and spouses in all phases of employment.nnAt CeLeen, our employees are the embodiment of our success as a firm.
