Overview Hypertension and Nephrology Clinic The HTN/Nephrology Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) role is responsible for assisting in the delivery of primary health care and patient care in a team-based patient-centered clinic environment. The LNA provides clinical support for medical practitioners, and nurses in providing patient care. Our team is committed to the constant pursuit of excellence and teamwork in improving the care of the patient and families we serve. Duties and responsibilities include: maintaining exam rooms including stocking and cleaning, preparing patients for exams and treatments including obtaining vital signs, weight, height, and vision screens. Medical record management, supply ordering, lab results tracking and follow-up, and maintaining patient flow through the office.The HTN/Nephrology LNA role requires a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be cross-trained in reception, registration, appointment scheduling, and general clerical functions. The successful LNA will possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently and to adapt to changes in the work environment including frequent change, delays or unexpected eventsWe are currently offering a sign on bonus for eligible hires! Responsibilities Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including, but not be limited to, performing ADL's, obtaining clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights, utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point of care testing and recording results in medical record, etc. Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full, etc. Assists visitors and answer telephones. Assists new co-workers in learning the work of the department. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications High school graduate required. Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use. Previous hospital experience preferred.
