Title: Knockout Operator
Shift: 3rd shift
Reports to: 651 Manager/Supervisor
Location: Painesville
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment, previous knockout experience a plus
- Prefer one to three years of industrial supervisory or similar leadership experience
Requirements: - Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record.
- Have a strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independently.
- Individual must be capable of balancing multiple tasks at once while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.
Responsibility: - The Knock-out/Cut-off Operator must be able to perform all duties and procedures and operate equipment efficiently. Will be trained in rough knockout, cutoff, HTG, and snag.
Specific Duties: - Check all tags for proper identification.
- Knock out mold with automatic air hammer, hand, water blast.
- Start routing card process.
- Cut-off castings, trim excess gatings.
- Lift and dump 55-gallon barrels containing molds.
- Visually inspect work for obvious defects.
- Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.
- Record on a daily basis all work performed by operational codes.
- Keeps the work area clean, orderly, and in safe condition, following all safety rules.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
