About our Programs : The Avera Adolescent Addiction Care Program is designed to be an age-appropriate residential treatment facility. Residents receive a tailor-made recovery program based on their personal needs with a focus on healthy coping skills. The Avera Behavioral Health Adolescent & Child Units are designed to be a structured and age-appropriate therapeutic environment for adolescents and children to learn to understand problems, use healthy coping skills and set and complete goals. Position Highlights: This position is cross trained to work in Adolescent Addiction, Adolescent Program and Child Program Adolescent Addition is a 8 bed residential program Adolescent program is a 40 bed unit Child unit is a 14 bed unit Opportunity to meet 70 coworkers Opportunity to change lives of both Adolescent and Children Self-scheduling program Student Loan Repayment: This Registered Nurse (RN) position may be eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster. Job Summary The R.N.'s purpose is to provide quality nursing care to our patients and to supervise the staff working with the R.N. to coordinate cares with ancillary staff, and to communicate effectively with the physician to ensure quality patient care. Education and/or Experience Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Strongly encouraged to complete life-saving education specific to specialty area. Licensure/Certification/Registration Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required. Certification in specialty encouraged. Membership in a professional organization encouraged. Work Schedule 12-Hour Day/Evening/Night shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday; 48 hours every 2 weeks Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
