We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Permanent Buyer to join our team. This role is integral to the success of our operations as you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our purchasing activities. You will be involved in the strategic sourcing of goods, materials, and services, as well as managing vendor relationships. Your focus will be on ensuring the company has the right materials at the right time and at the best price to meet our production and sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies for the company.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  • Manage and optimize supplier performance to meet delivery, cost, and quality expectations.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a buyer or in a similar role in the sales industry.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of production planning, MRP, purchase orders, cost reduction, sourcing, and demand planning.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and work with figures.
  • Proficient in vendor management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proven experience in managing and coordinating supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • APICS or other supply chain certification is a plus.
