Under limited supervision and under established procedures, this experienced mechanic is responsible for maintenance of facility equipment including troubleshooting issues related to machinery such as Formax, Alker, Multivac, Flexvac and slicing equipment. Ideal candidates will have a background in: Boiler Maintenance, Refrigeration, Electrical Systems, Schematics, Multi-meters, Hydraulics and pneumatics.nnStarting rate is $26/hour based on experience, certifications, etc.nnESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESnnMonitor all production areas to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and machinery.nnComplete assigned work orders.nnMUST adhere to Safety Procedures including, but not limited to Lock Out Tag Out, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc.nnAdjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment.nnPromote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.nnComplete required paperwork.nnCompletes assigned responsibilities and oversees the mechanical work of equipment.nnResponsible for correcting or facilitating correctable measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects.nnConducts pre-operational inspection and handles maintenance concerns of Production Supervisors to make sure operation begins as scheduled.nnWilling to work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant.nnKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESnnHigh School diploma or equivalent required.nnAbility to read, write, and speak in English.nnAbility to perform general mathematical calculations.nnMechanical inclination and knowledge of job specifications.nnPrevious production maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility strongly preferred.nnWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSnnOccasionally lift and/or move up to 75 poundsnnAbility to work 12-hour shifts is requirednnNoise level in the work areas can be loud, especially in the ammonia compressor roomnnWill be regularly exposed to outside weather in all conditionsnnWill be regularly exposed to chemicals used in the plant and for maintenance processesnnAble to climb ladders and stairs regularlynnAble to climb under and over piping and equipment as needednnPlant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold (non-weather related), and working near moving mechanical partsnnFood manufacturing operations environmentnnMore about us:nnSince 1945, Principe has combined its Italian heritage with true craftsmanship to deliver the best Italian meats and charcuterie in the world.
