Maintenance Mechanic (3rd Shift)nThe Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance and equipment repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Routinely diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical and electrical issues safely and efficiently. Day to day operation support and troubleshooting. The company also provides a part time benefits package as well as other company sponsored benefits.nRequired Qualifications & Experiences:nn18 years or oldernAbility to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skillsnHigh School diploma or GED-equivalentnTwo years of work experience within a direct or relevant field.nAbility to read and interpret annotations and drawings.nAbility of proper use of Catalyst system.nnJob Functions:nnEnsure Operation/Production Line is supported.nImplement preventative maintenance program and support.nPerform craft skills appropriate to machine repair, plumbing, welding, electrical, steam system, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting, painting and carpentry.nTroubleshoot malfunctions by following operation manuals, equipment diagrams, sketches, and engineering specifications for equipment.nIndividual tools and workplace must be cleaned.nPass down end of the shift information to Supervisors.nUtilizes precision measuring and testing instruments to locate problem sources.nPerforms work with hand and power tools, grinders, welders, hoists, cranes, and other industrial tools.nMaintains boiler systems and waste management systems.nCleaning before and after work performed, when applicable.nMaintains parts and equipment inventory.nParticipates in Safety Committee.nPerform other duties as assignednnPreferred Education and Experience:nnSelf-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision.nMay participate in training or troubleshooting at other locations or in Arden Hills, MN.nMay participate in troubleshooting at other LOL plants.nnPhysical Requirements for production positions regularly include:nnFrequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.nLifting up to 50 pounds.nAble to work in noisy environments.nPerforming duties while wearing personal protective equipment.nWorking across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present.nnDairy FoodsnThis role is at a Dairy Foods manufacturing facility for Land O'Lakes, creating dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness.
