This position is in Waldorf, MD.
Scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, with occasional nights and weekends.
Salary is $20.06 per hour.

INTRODUCTION: The Maintenance Specialist performs various general building maintenance functions in a variety of skilled and semi-skilled craft trades to support mechanical and electrical heating, ventilating and air-conditioning machinery at designated Melwood properties.

1. Conducts repairs on Melwood properties including residential in an efficient and workmanlike manner to include but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, etc.
2. Supports the maintenance system by complying with all aspects of the paper flow and FMX system including but not limited to work requests, gas log and maintaining assigned vehicle.
3. Plays a major role in the general upkeep of the company property; snow/ice removal, applying ice melt, road maintenance, lawn and field mowing, erosion control, etc.
4. Assists supervisors in identifying current and future maintenance needs while watching out for safety and fire hazards and reports them promptly or takes direct action.

5. Assists other maintenance personnel in maintaining an efficient operation of the garage, including cleanup, inventory and tool control.
