Position: Residential Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)nnProgram Assignment: Abilis Residential ProgramnnSupervisor: Director of Residential ServicesnnJob Summary: Residential LPNs provide exceptional care in our residential group homes. This role is pivotal in supporting residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. Previous experience with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; relevant work or personal experience will be considered.nnSchedule: Full-Time and Part-Time Shifts AvailablennKey Responsibilities:nnProvide hands-on care including toileting, bathing, feeding, and administering medications.nMonitor residents health conditions, including vital signs, and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.nEnsure the overall health and safety of residents, addressing their daily needs with compassion and professionalism.nMaintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing activities, including care provided, changes in condition, and communication with healthcare providers.nAssist with the daily operation of the residential home, including domestic duties and maintaining a clean and supportive living environment.nPromote a warm, family-like atmosphere that fosters residents learning, independence, and self-esteem.nFacilitate positive communication among staff, families, residents, and other stakeholders.nCollaborate with the Residential Manager and other team members to adapt to varying situations and fulfill the homes needs.nParticipate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and stay current with best practices.nPromote positive relations within the community and advocate for the needs of the residents.nRespond to emergencies and provide first aid or basic life support as necessary.nnQualifications:nnLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.nA strong sense of empathy and compassion for the individuals we support.nValid drivers license.
