We strive for patient-centered care and comfort, and we are committed to serving the community and treating our patients as family.nnAkron General's 2100 Clinical Decision Unit is a fast-paced unit with a high patient turnover rate (less than 24 hours) located on the hospital's cardiac telemetry floor. This unit treats major diagnoses, such as chest pain, syncope, and dizziness.nnA caregiver in this position works 7:00PM - 7:30AM.nnA caregiver who excels in this role will:nnParticipate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.nnProvide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.nnEstablish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).nnRespond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.nnSeek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.nnDocument in patients' medical records.nnMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:nnGraduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.nnCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).nnBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).nnNew graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience.nnPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:nnBachelor of science in nursing (BSN).nnOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
