The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is a 12-bed unit. The specialized patient population includes: renal transplants, and neurological, general, vascular, thoracic and complex gynecological surgery as well as a wide variety of other critically ill patients requiring intensive care nursing. Nurses in the SICU care for patients using state-of-the-art equipment and high-tech computer programs in a respectful, enthusiastic, nurturing and rewarding environment. BLS and ACLS required, NIHSS preferred.
