The Oncology Staff Nurse is a licensed registered nurse who demonstrates clinical knowledge and skill in the subspecialty of oncology nursing, and is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients, and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated. This person is responsible and accountable for the day to day operations and management of patients care in the outpatient oncology practice. This position requires problem solving/decision making and critical thinking, excellent leadership/organizational and prioritization skills. The nurse must be able to work in a self-directed environment with the ability to work with and lead teams. They must demonstrate the knowledge, skill and coordination to provide nursing care and guidance to the cancer patient from beginning of treatment to survivorship.
- Junior College/Technical School is required
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- OCN is preferred
- Valid WV RN License is required
- CPR is required
- Minimum of 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience
- 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience is preferred
