Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Operating Room
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 7 AM - 7 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: 3-5+ years of operating room experience with general, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular procedures. Scrub experience is required.
License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of residence, or licensure requirements meeting the National License Compact (NLC) for primary state of residence.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required.
Must-Have:
- Some on-call required, with a 30-minute response time.
- Ability to communicate in English effectively in all areas of practice.
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Navy blue scrub color
Job Description:
- Collect data pertinent to healthcare consumer's health or situation.
- Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation.
- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
- Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers according to applicable legal or policy parameters.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Practice in a manner congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare consumers and key stakeholders in nursing practice.
- Demonstrate leadership in professional practice settings.
- Seek knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice and promote futuristic thinking.
- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
- Contribute to quality nursing practice.
