Have a thorough understanding of the Statewide Policy on Respiratory Protection.2. Manage the Statewide Policy on Respiratory Protection in regard to the requirement for all staff to be annually FIT tested.3. Oversee and coordinate the FIT testing schedules to the FIT Testing department in conjunction with the Employee Health Nurse and Infection Control Nurse4. This nurse also will be a trained FIT tester and conduct regular FIT testing clinics throughout 9 counties in the Capital District area, including at various offices, day habs and IRAs.5. Will provide oversight with the assistance of the residential supervisory teams to obtain medical clearances on staff to be tested and ensure this is completed annually, or as often as policy dictates.6. Create and manage database to track all staff and houses that need/have fit testing and medical clearance.a. Initially add all staff to database by working with HR and residential administration to have the most update-to-date list.b. Share database with pertinent staff.c. Work with training department to add staff that are in NEO.d. Work with human resources as staff who may bid to new locations/SOIRA, retire, resign, etc.e. Work with human resources to attain up to date employee “N” numbers as this the tracking number used with PortaCount app on tablet.7. Must keep current on Dawson website to make sure staff are medically cleared for testing.a. Update DDSO database with staff that have been medically cleared or have been “referred.”b. Will be the Dawson website Administrator for the Capital District. Update database as needed. Communicate with TTL’s and DA3’s so they can notify and remind staff to complete Dawson online medical clearance. Resend Dawson email to staff as needed.c. Continue daily checks of Dawson website for updated staff clearances.8. This position will work collaboratively with the Training Department to test new employees.9. This nurse will be available to work adjust at 8 hours a month outside of the posted schedule to provide FIT Testing Clinics during the evening and on the weekends as directed by supervisor.10. This position will be required to manage mask inventory for the fit testing department.11. Will conduct required updates and servicing of the FIT testing apparatus (PortaCount Unit). Including inventory replenishment and installation of probe adapters and eyelets on N95 masks as needed.12. Will maintain and distribute a monthly audit of IRA based fit test forms.13. HELPS Program titles may be filled via a non-competitive appointment. You will not have to take an exam to gain permanent competitive status.• Please note that starting salary for this title reflects the increased hiring salary and geographic pay differential. Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 ($65,001), Increased Hiring Salary ($8,928), and Geographic Differential ($20,000).
