Job Description

The Section of Interventional Pulmonology within the Division of Pulmonology & Critical Care Medicine is seeking a self-motivated nurse practitioner to join our rapidly growing practice. Interventional pulmonology is a sub-specialty that uses minimally invasive techniques to diagnose and treat a variety of lung conditions. This innovative NP position will be responsible for developing a robust clinical practice for the evaluation and management of patients with pulmonary nodules, pleural disease, and COPD, who may require procedural intervention. For this highly vulnerable patient population, assuring streamlined coordination of procedures and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams (i.e. thoracic surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and referring physicians) is essential. The ideal candidate will be educated in evidence-based approaches to the best care of complex pulmonary diseases and integrated in a multi-faceted way to include opportunities for research and national society participation for career development. Recent NP graduates will be considered; however, NP experience of at least 3 years is preferable.
