This position will mainly handle motor vehicle accidents, slips and falls, and some labor law plaintiff litigation!
We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Permanent Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. As a key member of our team, you will take part in all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, preparation of motions, and trial. The ideal candidate for this role is a critical thinker, effective communicator, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in litigation to contribute to our company's continued success.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Managing all aspects of litigation including case analysis, drafting pleadings, discovery, pretrial motions, and potentially trial.
2. Providing legal advice and guidance on matters of complex legal importance.
3. Representing the company in court and advocating on behalf of the company in legal proceedings.
4. Conducting legal research and analysis to develop legal strategies and potential solutions.
5. Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure the best representation for our company.
6. Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
7. Building relationships with clients and all key stakeholders.
8. Keeping abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates.
9. Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in litigation.
4. Strong knowledge of litigation process, laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the democratic political process.
5. Excellent problem-solving, research, and negotiation skills.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
9. Excellent judgment and analytical skills.
10. First-rate interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team as well as independently.
11. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
