Locum - Lufkin, Texas, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Opening (IMLC Accepted)

    • Looking for locum CV Surgery coverage beginning 1/21/2025 to provide 24-hour call coverage across three different facilities
    • OPEN DATES:
      • Urgent dates:1/21(7a)-2/1(7a), 2/21(7a)-3/1(7a) please do not submit candidates if they can't cover one or both of these months.
      • Future dates of coverage: 3/21(7a)-4/1(7a), 4/21(7a)-5/1(7a), 5/21(7a)1-6/1(7a), 6/21(7a)-7/1(7a), 7/21(7a)-8/1(7a), 8/21(7a)-9/1(7a), 9/21(7a)-10/1(7a), 10/21(7a)-11/1(7a), 11/21(7a)-12/1(7a), 12/21(7a)-1/1(7a)
    • Ongoing until further notice; likely a minimum of 2-3 months of coverage to start
    • Shift times: Daily
    • Frequency: 21st of the month to the 1st of the following month; on alternating weekends there would be a need to coverage a 2nd hospital site
    • Setting: Primarily Inpatient Surgical coverage for ED & referred elective cases
    • FTE: 1.0
    • # Providers Needed: 1 FTE open to the use of multiple Surgeons to make a full-time schedule
    • Duties: CV Surgical coverage
    • Should be able to harvest own veins hospital may provide PA depending on volume
    • Required Procedures: full scope CV Surgery
    • EMR:
      • Clinic Setting: Cerner Mckesson Cardiology
      • Hospital Setting: Paragon & CHS Proprietary EMR
    • Patients per Day: 10-15
    • Support Staff: Typical in clinic & hospital resources
    • Worksite Resources: Typical clinic & hospital resources
    • Reason for Coverage: Separation with current employed Surgeon
    • Board Certification Required
    • TX State License: Highly preferred, open to IMLC w/ LOQ in hand
    • CV Surgery Fellowship Required
    • Both BLS & ACLS should be in place, but the training can be done on-site if necessary
    • Malpractice status Required for temps
