The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process/Project Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team at their chemical manufacturing facility in Brantford, Ontario. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and implementing greener, more efficient solutions. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading projects focused on process optimization and efficiency improvements within the chemical plant.
- Driving continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to reduce waste, improve output, and meet sustainability goals.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement greener technologies that minimize the facility’s environmental impact.
- Analyzing and assessing existing processes to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced performance.
- Ensuring all process designs and projects comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Managing multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Monitoring project performance and making recommendations for future improvements.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- P.Eng designation is mandatory.
- 5+ years of experience in process/project engineering within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead process optimization and continuous improvement projects.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability practices and green technologies in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
