They will not be going out and physically replacing equipment, but instead they are putting an image on a hard drive at their headquarters. This hard drive will be shipped out to the worksites with the image on it. These contractors would work off of a checklist with another vendor brought in by the client to work on getting the image up and running, OS updated, and make sure everything works, troubleshoot if needed, etc. Each site has about 3-4 servers that would need to be updated. Another part of this role will be helping to update the pin pads at the locations. The pin pads will be shipped out to the work sites and this person would work with an employee at the truck stops to walk them through updating/installing the new pin pads, test card swipe to make sure they are working, and make sure the old equipment is packaged up and shipped back to HQ. Due to this role interacting with truck stop employees and other vendors, strong communication both verbal and documentation is imperative. They would love to have someone with POS experience especially peripherals like pin pads and scanners. They are using Retalix as their POS system, but that isn't required, they are open to general POS knowledge/experience. Pin pads are Verifone and they use a software called "VHQ" to manage VeriFone pin pads.nnResponsible for replacing and upgrading hard drives, operating systems and peripherals in Point of Sale (POS) environment.
