Job Description: The Housekeeping Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel's public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms. They work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure that guest rooms are properly stocked with amenities, linens and assist with laundry and other housekeeping tasks as needed.
Responsibilities: - Cleaning and maintaining public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms and back-of-house areas
- Remove soiled linen, terry and trash from the service areas and take to the appropriate locations
- Report any missing/found articles, damage to the Director of Housekeeping
- Assisting housekeeping staff with laundry and other tasks as needed
- Stocking and replenishing supplies in guest rooms and public areas
- Respond to guest request and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements: - Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
