Position Type: Custodial/Maintenance/Substitute CustodianDate Posted: 7/16/2024Location: Calhoun County Board of EducationClosing Date: Open Until FilledCounty: Calhoun County SchoolsEMPLOYMENT TERM: 2024-2025 School Year LOCATION: To be determined by location/shift - Work Schedule based on need QUALIFICATIONS: Employees who already hold a Custodian classification will be accepted as duly qualified. Applicants shall successfully pass the classification test and receive satisfactory evaluations. SALARY: Pay Grade C Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. CLASS TITLE DEFINITION (Based on ยง18A-4-8): 1. Keep buildings clean and free of refuse. 2. Operate the heating and cooling systems. 3. Make minor repairs. 4. Perform duties in a support capacity including, but not limited to, facilitating in the instruction and direct or indirect supervision of pupils under the direction of a principal, a teacher, or another designated professional educator. RESPONSIBILITIES (Based on State Board Policy 5314): 1. Maintain positive work habits. 2. Perform duties efficiently and productively. 3. Maintain and/or upgrade skills.
