Summary

We are hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse.

This is a PRN/Per Diem position doing Home Visits for Hospice care in the Columbus, OH. Hospice or Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Hospice is responsible for providing quality patient care and performing technical skilled care in the patient's home.

  • Performs skilled nursing services under the supervision of a staff RN daily.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by state regulations.
  • Assists the physician and/or staff RN in performing specialized procedures as needed.
  • Assists the patient with daily activities and encourages appropriate self-care daily.
  • Reports to the patient's physician and other appropriate personnel regarding pertinent changes in the patient's condition as needed.
  • Performs complex wound care if in-service is documented for specific procedure daily or as needed.


Education and Experience

Formal Education: Associate Degree or certification equivalent
License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: Yes

License Requirements

  • Unrestricted licensure in state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
