The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics Division Director of Critical Care The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a
Division Director of Pediatric Critical Care. This key physician leader is an integral part of the Pediatrics Department and leads all administrative, clinical, and educational activities for the division. With the opening of the new Children's Hospital in 2024, the division chief will play an important role in maintaining the position of the division as market leader in the region and in planning the expansion of outreach services across the state.
The Division Director's responsibilities include:
- Leading the divisions clinical, research and educational services
- Fostering the growth and expansion of Pediatric Critical Care programs with the goal to develop an ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care
- Expanding both the clinical and interdisciplinary research programs
- Supervision of Division staff including Physicians, Advance Practice Professionals, and support staff
Successful Candidates must demonstrate:
- The ability to lead a diverse group in clinical, research and teaching programs
- Work collaboratively with hospital and academic department partners
- Ability to successfully mentor junior faculty
- A commitment to excellence in patient care
- Experience with Strategic Growth, Budgeting and Resource Management
Qualifications:
- MD/DO
- Board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care
- 5+ years' experience in Pediatric Critical Care
- Demonstrated success in leadership roles
