We serve adults & geriatrics that require complex, comprehensive multidisciplinary care. We help each other out when the going gets tough. There’s never a dull moment on 3 East as we are learning new things each day. It is a great unit to get a solid foundation of nursing skills in all the body systems. The care team is comprised of Nurses, Patient Care Techs, HUCs, Education Specialists, Infection Preventionists, Care Managers, Physicians and Nursing Leaders. We work closely with our hospitalists from admission to discharge. This is supported by daily multidisciplinary rounds.nnOur leadership and education team truly focus on fostering an environment for learning and caring for our team. Multisystem PCU allows you to grow and hone your nursing skills.nnThe role you’ll contribute:nnThe Licensed Practical Nurse gives direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a professional nurse and performs routine duties in caring for identified age specific groups (may include neonate to geriatric). Approaches patient care using the nursing process of planning, implementing and evaluating outcomes. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.nnThe value you’ll bring to the team:nnCollaborates with RN and makes appropriate nursing decisions and interventions. Interprets diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition. Recognizes and reports problems.nnSupervises other healthcare team members in the clinical environment. Utilizes knowledge base to assist with orientation, training and education of new personnel.nnFollows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand washing according to policy and enforces safety regulations. Strictly adheres to all infection control practicesnnParticipates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
