Physician Assistant - New Jersey

Compensation: $100,000 - $135,000 per year DOE

Location: Multiple Locations (Bloomfield, Kearny, Union City, Englewood, Various Hospitals)

n

** Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Orthopedic Surgery practice in New Jersey. **

n

About the Job

n

This is a full-time on-site role for a Physician Assistant that requires traveling to all 4 locations regularly to meet the needs of our patients.

n

** Training for Orthopedic Surgery practice is available! **

n

Duties and Responsibilities:

n
    n
  • Conduct thorough preoperative and postoperative assessments of patients.

  • n
  • Review patient medical histories and perform physical examinations.

  • n
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.

  • n
  • Assist in the operating room during surgeries

  • n
  • Prepare and position patients for surgery.

  • n
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and provide post-operative care.

  • n
  • Collaborate with the Ortho-Spine Surgeon to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

  • n
  • Provide patient education on treatment options, potential risks, and post-operative care.

  • n
  • Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor patients' progress and address any concerns.

  • n
  • Manage and update patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

  • n
  • Assist in the coordination of patient care, including referrals and consultations.

  • n
  • Perform Surgical Rounding

  • n
  • Expected to hold an On-call status

  • n
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physical therapists, and radiologists.

  • n
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns.

  • n
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.

  • n
  • Stay current with advancements in Orthopedic Surgery.

  • n
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • n

Qualifications :

n
    n
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • n
  • Current New Jersey state license and certification as a Physician Assistant.

  • n
  • Previous experience in Orthopedic Surgery, however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

  • n
  • Strong surgical assisting skills and familiarity with spine surgeries.

  • n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • n
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • n
  • Able to cover multiple locations in New Jersey
