Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.nnResponsibilitiesnnOversees and assures the overall compliance of Microsoft’s Energy Isolation Program and establish acceptance criteria for authorizing campus Energy Isolation Plan.nnImplements learnings, provides consistency, and drives rigor into Microsoft’s Energy Isolation program and ensures program meets or exceeds company safety policy requirements.nnUtilise local code and standards as the foundation for Microsoft’s Energy Isolation program that is implemented throughout the campus.nnEstablish with the Engineering team a centralized Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) procedure with all campus entities and determine if a group or individual LOTO procedure will be required.nnCommencement of energy isolation activities with updates on a continuous basis.nnLiaise with Microsoft construction team where Energy Isolation activities may potentially impact data center core operations.nnAct in coordination with the Engineering team as a subject matter expert in all energy isolation incident investigations in area of responsibilitynnParticipate in high-risk activity (HRA) planning meetings associated with energy isolation.nnEnsures high-risk SOWs, SOPs and MOPs are reviewed, and all sources of energy are identified.nnEnsure a process is established that verifies qualifications, training, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for personnel performing the work.nnGenerate monthly reports highlighting activities and general status of energy isolation programnnQualificationsnnRequired Qualifications:nn6+ years of technical engineering experiencennOR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experiencennOR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience.nnBackground Check Requirements:nnAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. (Paralleling switchgear, redundant UPS systems, DC battery strings, multi-source electrical utility switchgear, standby diesel generators, etc.)nnKnowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation (blueprints, electrical one-lines, construction drawings etc.)nnPractical experience with building management systems and automation, controls & frameworksnnElectrical Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year.
