About the Role: Merryhill School is now hiring a Full-Time School Bus Driver. Our Bus Drivers are an integral part of the communities we serve. They are committed to safety, customer service and have genuine, caring attitudes for children. Our team collaborates and builds relationships with fellow staff members, school administration, families, and the community.
Responsibilities: - This is a split shift. Must be available Monday - Friday 6:45 am - 10:45 am AND 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
- Transport students and other authorized persons safely to and from school; on field trips, extracurricular and special activities as authorized by immediate supervisor.
- Operate school buses under all types of weather conditions.
- Maintain control of student passengers as related to safety.
- Report unsafe acts or conditions which require the attention of any person other than the driver.
- Complete forms, records and reports as required by law and School policies.
- Operate school bus in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida and policies promulgated by the Head of School.
- Perform required operational and safety inspections of the school bus and all related equipment.
Education & Work Experience Requirements: - Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Complies with all company and state-specific standards and maintains validation of required credentials for the position.
- Complies with all state-specific education requirements.
- Must be comfortable with driving a mini-bus & transporting children
