Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year A bit about us: We are currently one of the most successful seafood companies in southern California providing over 5,000 fresh and frozen seafood products. We manage fishing vessels, harvest sites and processing plants throughout the world. We are growing and looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team 2 shifts available: Swing Shift: Monday - Friday, 2am - 11am. Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 9pm - 6am. Why join us? Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Disability insurance Paid vacation leave 401k with employer match Job Details Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of manufacturing and production employees to meet performance standards, emphasizing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, line efficiency, and product quality. Follow the daily production schedule and promptly inform plant management and affected associates of any shortages. Monitor and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to maintain efficiency and reliability of the production line, minimizing downtime. Ensure adherence to all production and safety regulations. Maintain high sanitary standards required in the food manufacturing industry, ensuring preparedness for third-party audits and regulatory inspections at all times. Coordinate with the Maintenance department and follow up on necessary repairs and improvements to the production line. Work closely with Quality Assurance to uphold high product quality standards. Inspect the production area to ensure equipment and personnel are operating safely. Enforce all company rules, policies, and procedures, providing disciplinary action when necessary. Investigate all types of accidents, such as worker compensation injuries and property damage, and report to the appropriate manager immediately. Adhere to GMP, SOPs, and all OSHA safety regulations. Qualifications: 3 years of experience in a production management role within the food/manufacturing industry. Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in managing and motivating teams. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
