Overview The Salvation Army’s Divisional Headquarters located in Canton, MA is hiring an Social Services Director and offers an excellent benefit package to eligible employees including: Generous paid time off every year that includes: holidays, up to 3 personal days, vacation time, and sick time. Duties include but are not limited to: providing supervision to a team of seven direct reports and a total department of ten employees, ensuring compliance with National Social Service standards, working closely with corps officers (pastor/local business manager) in the selection and development of social ministries staff and programs, collecting and reviewing monthly program statistics, advocating on behalf of The Salvation Army and clientele to elected and administrative public officials, maintaining current profiles of all social ministries’ programs in the Division, developing and monitoring department budgets, and fostering relationships with other Social Services professionals in Massachusetts. Qualifications & Experience Master’s Degree required in Social Work Licensed Social Worker preferred At least 7 years of progressive management in social services with management experience for multiple programs, licensed childcare programs, and shelter programs Understanding and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army Knowledge of federal, state, and local juvenile policies, programs, and youth development Effective communication skills, both written and oral Ability to build relationships in communities with needs Experience with the business principles of Accounting/Budgets, HR, and Marketing Willingness to work nights/weekends as needed J-18808-Ljbffr
