Job Title : Swimming Pool Attendant Location : Multifamily Berkeley Heights Apartments ( website ) Job Description Summary The primary focus of the Pool Attendant position will include setting up pool seating and umbrellas, removing trash and other items from the pool area. Customer service skills are important in this role, as the applicant will be required to check for pool passes, ensuring children are accompanied by an adult, and the opening and closing of the pool area each day. Applicants should be comfortable working outside in various weather conditions, including high heat and humidity. Essential Job Duties: Set up pool seating and umbrellas. Check each guest for the proper pool pass for entry into the pool area. Ensure that all children are always accompanied by an adult. Open and close the pool area each business day. Ensure guests follow the rules and safety guidelines. Other functions as assigned. Competencies: Customer Service Skills Comfortable working outside in high heat and humidity Strong interpersonal communication skills Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred) 5 years of related experience Work Environment: This job operates in a professional outdoor environment. This role routinely requires good customer service skills and the ability to use the proper equipment to complete daily tasks. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to travel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
