Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Network and Endpoint Security Engineering Manager to become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes. Location: Beltsville, MD. Role: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network and endpoint security, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for developing and implementing robust security strategies. You will: Lead and manage a team of network and endpoint security engineers. Dive into technical details when necessary to support the team and stakeholders. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members. Maintain uptime of critical security tools in accordance with contractual requirements and lead efforts to restore service when an outage occurs. Work with architects and customers to set the vision for the security engineering team and align it with the customer’s strategic goals. Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of security solutions for network and endpoint protection. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology advancements. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years of experience. Demonstrated experience in network and endpoint security. Possess or obtain before start date one of the following certifications: CASP CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud, CySA, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER, VCA DCV, PPDA, Agile IC, or SNOW App Dev Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role. Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection platforms). U.S. citizenship required. An active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.
