Maintenance Mechanic Description: Maintenance Mechanic – Bay Sheets Pay Rate: $38.00 - $38.40 Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time – Must be flexible for shift work, work 12 hours as needed, Saturdays and Sundays. 1st Shift – 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM 3rd Shift – 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Physical Location: Bay Sheets, 6791 Alexander Street, Gilroy, CA 95020 The Job You Will Perform: Interfaces with production supervision to effect safe repairs to equipment and ensures that equipment is returned to operations in an acceptable condition. Performs regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety checks. Makes repairs & modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through the work order system. Responsible for completing all paperwork assigned and coordinating with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure data is correct and recorded. Other duties as assigned. The Skills You Will Bring: At least one year of successful mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing facility. On-the-job success in safety, attendance, and quality of work expected. Maintenance experience in corrugated a plus. Strong knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, and pneumatics. Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to fully cross-train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
