Meet is partnered with a Bay Area clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company on a search for a Senior Research Associate / Associate Scientist Downstream Process Development opportunity!

We are seeking a motivated Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist to join the Downstream Process Development team. This group focuses on developing robust downstream processes, technology transfer, scale-up to contract manufacturing, and providing technical support for manufacturing. Position details and requirements are outlined below.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and scale multi-step purification processes
• Design drug substance formulations
• Present data in meetings
• Author technical reports
• Implement purification technologies
• Oversee GMP purification at CMOs
• Review CMO batch records
• Produce in-house development material

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related scientific field with 4+ years of relevant industry experience for MS and 6+ years for BS level candidates.
• Proficient in protein purification (chromatography, membrane filtration, UF/DF)
• Skilled with AKTA systems and Unicorn software
• Strong data analysis and interpretation abilities
• Independent and proactive work style
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel for CMO oversight (preferred)
• Experience with external manufacturing vendors (preferred)
