LaSalle Network is partnered with a leading food distribution company to find a Poultry Category Manager for their team. This company is looking for a proactive, strategic professional to oversee the buying and selling of poultry products. In this role, you will manage procurement, drive sales and build strong relationships with suppliers and customers, ensuring the right balance of cost, quality and availability of poultry products to maximize profitability.
Poultry Category Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop procurement strategies and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality poultry products
• Monitor market trends, adjust buying decisions and collaborate with the production team to meet product specifications
• Drive sales and market share growth, developing competitive pricing strategies and providing sales team support
• Manage inventory levels and adjust strategies based on performance data to optimize profitability
• Track category performance and report on opportunities for improvement

Poultry Category Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years' experience purchasing poultry and managing vendor relationships
• Knowledge of the poultry market, pricing and trends
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
